Upon arrival, we’re greeted by name and skip the usual check-in process, heading straight to our cozy water villa. Mirihi, a tiny island, is a barefoot paradise covered in fine coral sand. This resort, with its six beach villas and 30 water villas, sits atop one of the best coral reefs in the Maldives, perfect for snorkeling and diving.
We meet the friendly staff some of whom has been working 10-20 years on the island and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Swiss chef, Felix, before exploring the island. Despite missing the whale shark trip due to strong winds, we enjoy lazy beach days, exploring the island’s library, and engaging in a private yoga session with Danushka.
